3.9 Diff Ratio Crown Wheel and Pinion sets 76/78/79/100/105 and 80**

from $700.00

First question is “Are the strong enough to consider fitting into my Landcruiser?

Yes - from all installs they have proven themselves and are when fitted to Chris Hawkins HDJ79 Landcruiser which has done a 10.98sec ¼ mile. With these diff gears fitted he has managed to break two 4340 chrome moly axles when launching. “Can say the PDI gears are pretty bloody good now mate”

These crown wheel and pinion sets come with solid pinion spacers for front and rear diffs. This order is for a front and rear set together.

The diff ratio change is recommended for the following models:

VDJ79 - same ratio

HDJ100 / HZJ105 / HDJ105 manual transmission - use VDJ79 bearing kit (front and rear)

HDJ79 / HDJ78 - use VDJ79 bearing kit (front and rear)

80 series** using 100/79 centre and 80 side gears in rear. Front is a direct fit. Use VDJ79 bearing kit (front and rear).

These have been installed and tested in a number of Landcruisers boasting in excess of 300rwkw and 1000nm. They have shown to be more than capable of the task and perform very well.

For those wanting to run 3.9 ratio, which is ideal for auto setups or if running 35in tyres, we now are stocking 3.9 ratio crown wheel and pinion sets.

100 / 105 / 79 Series Install

These are direct fit into these models using the latest and strongest pinion spline count/design. That means you may need to buy a set of pinion flanges to get the best result possible.

80 Series Install

It is possible to use these gears in the front of the 80 series cruisers without modification. For the rear you will need to get a 100 or 79 series rear centre or locker etc and reconfigure it to use the side gears from the 80 series centre as the axles have a different spline count.

When installing these in a HDJ79/HDJ78 or 100 and 105 series the bearings and possibly the flange plate will need to upgraded as we are using the latest and strongest design.
